TEXT-IFA- ORISA SCIENTIFIC SPIRITUALITY

IFA: Òrìṣa Scientific Spirituality

Community

There is no such thing as witchcraft or magic spells.
This is very important to understand because I continue getting messages about how to know if a witch has cast a spell on you and how to deter it. This sort of spookism developed only at the point the Maafa (massive slave raid of Africans) reached its height and society lost its senses. Unfortunately many of us mistake it for authentic African beliefs and we perpetuate it under the myth of traditionalism. Orisa spirituality is a power of light to allow sight to those living in darkness, it is not a spirituality of secret dark witchcraft for you to live in fear of.
The dangers of believing in such things can be seen in the DRCongo where over 50,000 children in the past several years have undergone exorcism due to Christian pastors claiming that the children are witches and that a ceremony must take place which cost the parents around fifty U.S. dollars each (which is 1/3 of a year's income for most). The children are then tortured, often with hot candles leaving burn marks for life, not to mention the psychological damage. This was well documented by various international news channels at the beginning of the decade.
What we see immediately in the videos is that though they are using the Christian framework, the ceremony, customs, and psychology originate from the local indigenous superstitions. Through our dear Africa, the belief in witches, spells, etc is widespread and predate Christianity. What we also see is that there is a combination of physical damages to children and hefty financial exploitation of the naive.
Anytime you promote the belief in witches, magic spells, and that sort of superstitious danger, you will automatically create a fearful population that will hurt anyone (including children) they see as a source of this and pay anyone they believe can save them from this.
It is unfortunate that many proponents of Orisa religion claiming to be babalawo are teaching people to believe in this fearful superstition. The dangers of such belief is self-evident but many continue it simply because it is claimed as an "African tradition."
As I have stated many times, the Orisa system was corrupted by the Maafa conditions during the 16th-century onwards and so we must cleanse it of its damage and return it to its pure condition that was void of such dangerous superstitions but only logical empowerment. It is because corrupt priests make such a fortune being paid to provide cures for "witchcraft" that they want you to believe in it.
Listen now and listen carefully. Orunmila's teaches are explicit that the only "witchcraft" that exists is psychological. This is powerful if you are susceptible but it is not actually witchcraft. They caste spells on you thru your psychology by exposing you to self-destructive images meant to subliminally induce fear and panic. This is why you should control the images you let people expose you to (especially from the media and their school system). This is the only way they enter your mind and influence you; not "witchcraft."
It is extremely vital that in our perpetuation of Black African spirituality, we not integrate spookism (that priests push because your fear produces wealth for them) and realizes that our ancient spirituality was regarding the science of the mind, not mystic supersition. Until we realize this, our ancient spirituality will not be able to empower us as a people.
In the name of Orunmila, the wisdom of Olodumare living within.

NOTORIOUS NIGERIA'S CAMPUS OCCULT GROUPS

Nigeria's campus cults: Buccaneers, Black Axe and other feared groups By Helen Oyibo BBC Pidgin, Lagos Published 2 June 2020 Share Roland* was a first-year student when he joined the Buccaneers, a secret, illegal student society in Nigeria. A brutal initiation ritual was held late at night in the forest. Older members, singing, dancing and drinking, formed a ring around him and other blindfolded initiates, beating them severely until the early hours of the morning. The ritual was supposedly to purge the initiates of weaknesses and instil bravery in them. "The moment you go in there and come out, you are a different person," Roland told the BBC. These societies, also referred to as confraternities and campus cults, have names like Vikings, Black Axe, Eiye (a word in the local Yoruba language for bird), and the Buccaneers. They have a chain of command similar to militia groups, use code words and have insignia bearing the favourite weapon of the cult, along with its colou
