WICKED THINGS THAT HAPPEN AROUND THE WORLD

So, we're still alive, be aware of 'family business.' How many times do you see them sending something to you when you send them money? They're so self-centered and care-less about you or your family in the diaspora, it's so upsetting!

True. It's the same in the Caribbean too. A family member ask me to pay for his college. I told him to apply for scholarship first which he qualifies for and then I'll help with a small allowance. He refused to apply for the scholarship. I suspected he had no intentions of going to college but was going to take the money and travel. I didn't send him anything. He blocked me. No problem.

It’s easy to talk about the evil done by those at home. What about trusting your wife to embark on joint venture in Nigeria while you are both in the UK. And the wife’s mum family try to take the house backed by some almighty stories. Just imagine the man was the only one having access to Nigeria during the construction. After completion the wife then tried to claim the property. Their idea is the husband is supposed to have died, but God didn’t allow it. But this is the person sleeping next to you. A mother of your 4 kids. Now tell me if it could get worse.

This is so common in Africa , especially in West Africa ( Nigeria, Cameroon, Togo, Ghana, etc ..... our culture has made it possible for lunatics back home to think they can do trash and get away with it because they are your family.

To be honest this behavior is common everywhere ...the difference betweeen the one that occur in Africa and the west is .. 1) they are present 2) they involve the legal system 3) they regulate how they do and bring fa,ily members close We are more of community oriented system...we solve family problem before we involve the court and most time we don’t even use documents signing to make sure everyone knows their place HUMANS ARE HUMANS ...

It happens in the Caribbean too especially Jamaica. There they meet the person at the airport and the arrival will be permanently missing. No house built or if they built it they occupied it.
Rt soca
@Eileen Watt  Yes. It definitely happens in Jamaica. This types of things are so wrong.
Marjorie Reyes
Is. Every where even in the Caribbean it happen to me

This happens in the Caribbean too. They will pick you up from the airport and you won't see the house or the next day. The older people in diaspora must be computer literate and handle their business remotely. Don't let your left hand knows what your right hand is doing.

This also happens in Guyana. And yes, through your own family. Greed, Dishonesty, Self imposed poverty. Lack- of- growth, immaturity. These attitudes then become deadly to the person who is abroad.

Phrankleen - You are a strong man who is not afraid to keep it real and give it straight. I am not a Nigerian but I really do understand where you come from. Definitely. most do not understand the stark reality of living abroad. They never will when you say living in an affluent country is not easy. They will never understand the hard work with long hours thst you work, high taxes you pay and the discipline one needs to survive. Only thing they see is the higher living standard that surrounds you. I really like to come here to listen and understand other cultures. And I totally grasp where you come from. Thank you! .. from USA

I believe they do not want to understand, because they become so narcissistic. This is the heart of man. They do what they do with impunity and utter heartlessness.

One thing I truly do know about Nigerians and Liberians as well; and that is they are very revengeful when they think someone has betrayed them or they become jealous of you. I knew of a couple of Nigerians here in the USA getting their houses burned down because of jealousy!! But God!!

Firstly my condolence to the family that the couple left i.e, the children. This is a type of family business that scares me now! 'I'm a living victim of a sibling duping and discarding.' But the worse is that the other family members aren't seeing anything wrong with this outrageous, heartless and deceptive act of this sibling. Some of them are 'parasites', I'm afraid! It's so unfortunate!🥵🥵🥵🥵

Many of them never even call to find out how one and their family/kids/spouse are doing generally, they only care to call to ask for financial help/material things. They only care for themselves and what you can DO for them.I blank those types/distance myself intentionally and since I'm so far away, where will they find me?calls and text can be blocked and ignored, its a choice.

Trying to retire in Africa from USA or Europe is like a death sentence these days!!! Even your siblings might eat you like roast beef!!!!

I’m planning to do that but not in my home country, I’m from Southern Africa and I’m currently looking on Namibia 🇳🇦 as my final retirement country.

Same from Nigeria but probably end up in Gambia.

Same here. Am looking at another part of the country or better still head to Ghana.

Or sneak into another city in your country. Stay quiet and don't tell anyone..basically stay lonely...lol or make new friends
VERA Addo Yobo
@ibexy  came to the mountains, it's twenty five minutes to Accra and the weather is very cool

@Ob n as long you’re in the same country they’ll end up having your contacts and end up gathering at your hideout.
Mzee

It's looking real scary for 65-year-old I had my dreams of going building a house but I think I better stay where I am

No true , AV been here in Nigeria for over a year or more and this is not my first time of doing this , my honest advice is - once u live your country u don't have families anymore
dabbs
Jealousy , and wikedness
Miriam Jones
@dabbs  no I'm not going to stay here I think one problem is people are not going back to where they belong to the tribes they belong to I'm going back to my tribe they are welcome in and nice people
Wow! That's a rough statement..but i guess as per the other comments here it's reasonable. But so very sad families think of they family as ATM's.. I would never send money for a big purchase to anyone, but i had to draw the line with support to one person.. Very ungrateful, never satisfied, not a thank you, although she knew i was sending from a limited income because if circumstances..and this is in the Carribean.. This behaviour is everywhere..

Agreed. Jamaican family are the same. The day I found All inclusive hotel I never looked back. Now I go on holiday and drive to see who I want to or no one at all for two weeks lol. As I like my life I can never ask these people why they never consulted me when they had children, since they now expect me to pay for them?

Until the day your broke, none of them will ever extend any help to you, evil family members everywhere. A man's enemies are the members of his own household. (Matthew 10:36).

My family being asking me and begging me to come and buy land and build. I said to them mm nah thanks . Don't need that problem in my life hard enough to survive out here, one of my brother past away this time last year and straight after that my eldest brother was already withdrawing his money despite the fact that he left 4 kids. That alone open my eye big time ,that could have been me.

I'm not a Nigerian!! this is the same thing happened to good friend of mine marry to a doctor from Nigeria living and working in T$T🇹🇹 !! he was the oldest in the family father died leaving him in charge of everything went to take care to share up the assets and never return🇹🇹!!! was a dead man poisoned by his own family!!!! 🇹🇹🙌🙌🙌

I appreciate this information my belief was 'native Africans' had 'integrity' because descendants in Trinidad show no moral obligation to their offspring, as a result children experience extreme hardships whilst growing, this cycle is repeated every generation. Wow. I love and appreciate your video.

My father once told me to be sending money from Canada to him so he can help me save them in Nigeria. I just shake my head on he phone Hahahahahahhagahhhh

Sad story . I always advise clients who are ready to cut of family from their projects except they have family they can vouch for . As an architect that also build houses I have had to reject projects that clients want me to finish up after their family member has refused to finish after being paid for my own safety . This is my advise ,clients can get good engrs or architect through referrals from people and go ahead with them . Have some form of legal contract with the architect or engr and go ahead with your project devoid of family members

Very intelligent, good advices, thank you, me myself I had to sell my house for almost nothing because after I have been just 6 month abroad in Europe, they broke up my house in the Caribbean and steal everything I left in that house, so I went back and sold it before I lost everything!
Hortense Clarke
I heard of a similar situation in Jamaica many years ago. This man asked his brother to build building for a business. When the building was completed, the brother went to Jamaica to see completion of building. On the last day of his trip to Jamaica, the brother made a party, and poisoned him. He died on his way back to the UK.

I sent money for a computer to someone that My ex told me was his niece back in Kumsi in Ghana 🇬🇭 but I learned that once you send money or products then you may seem like you have a lot of money when you don't I'm African American but I feel like it's the same in America because if you live in NYC or California and you have relatives in other states here in America they immediately believe you are rich and they will constantly ask for money over and over

Tales From Afar
I left the US and settled back hone in Ghana. My family was furious about me coming back home, because they couldn't be asking me for money. My own mother had dubbed me by doubling the price of land she bought for me.

@Spiritum Spiritus  exactly... I just watched a documentary on how the richest woman in Monaco was killed , all because of money that the daughter husband wanted to steal from the family , an America husband killed his son and wife because of insurance money and property investment , some grandchildren were embezzling money from their rich grand mother because they worked in the same bank here in America, until the old woman noticed her account statement was saying something else....there many stories like that ... No matter the investment u have to involve a lawyer ,and when issue arise don’t go to ur family kinsmen or family members, they will use forgive and let go ..it’s ur blood rather go to the legal system....this is what big companies do all over the world ...even the founder of apple computer had same issue with his co founder , he was removed from his company initially before he came back ..... We Africans need to start thinking of other ways to solve issues in our communities rather than spending time talking about the problem with no realistic solution to reduce incidence like this

NOTORIOUS NIGERIA'S CAMPUS OCCULT GROUPS

Nigeria's campus cults: Buccaneers, Black Axe and other feared groups By Helen Oyibo BBC Pidgin, Lagos Published 2 June 2020 Share Roland* was a first-year student when he joined the Buccaneers, a secret, illegal student society in Nigeria. A brutal initiation ritual was held late at night in the forest. Older members, singing, dancing and drinking, formed a ring around him and other blindfolded initiates, beating them severely until the early hours of the morning. The ritual was supposedly to purge the initiates of weaknesses and instil bravery in them. "The moment you go in there and come out, you are a different person," Roland told the BBC. These societies, also referred to as confraternities and campus cults, have names like Vikings, Black Axe, Eiye (a word in the local Yoruba language for bird), and the Buccaneers. They have a chain of command similar to militia groups, use code words and have insignia bearing the favourite weapon of the cult, along with its colou...
